A flicker of white and blue light shimmered under the crack of the old wooden door of the establishment, then the bent silver knob started to turn clock wise. The door swung open a tad and the mysterious figure stepped in with their black leather heeled boots that came up right below her knees, who wore heels anyways unless it was a woman? Ah, so it was.

Shadnire poked her head inside and gazed around the room through the opened crack of the door still holding the knob with her right hand, the women then took another step inside while moving the door completely open.
"Ah that's better.." she explained to herself then frowned seeing cobwebs everywhere, "perhaps I should clean it up? Or maybe it's better this way actually.." she whispered to herself.

This woman looked young maybe in her early 20s for what her actual age was, but none the less she was beautiful along with her long medium length black hair matching those dark blue eyes. A light complexion of skin complimented across her entire slender body almost as if she was an hour glass figure, nearly perfection was the description of this apparent young lady.

Scanning the area carefully she then crossed both of her arms in front of her chest and lowered her head, after a heavy sigh Shadnire started to walk towards the middle of the room to get a better look around the shadows. Passing a few chairs and tables she found herself in a medium sized area that could be used for a dance floor; she lightly tapped her boot on the wooden panels of the floor and murred under her breath seeing a puff of dust float up an inch or two from in between the two wood panels of the floor.

A black blouse with dark silver ribbons crossed over below her chest in an x fashion all the way down to her waist which was the start line of the matching black skirt. She even wore a small silver tiara on her head with a blue gem in the middle of it that accompanied her blue hues in a matching comparison between the two, and the hair under the crown was lengthened enough that reached to the end of her back.

A petite figure flitted into the tavern with a subtle cough at the sudden cloud of dust that rushed up into her features. Snow swept in from behind her, the wind sending dirty blond tresses forward to kiss against the chilled flesh of her cheeks. She took a step to the side, and then to the back to press the door close behind her, shutting off the clouds of snow that decided to follow her in.

She froze in her spot in shock, eerily glowing, pale, sea green orbs focused on the female in front of her. "I didn't know this was private property.." slipped from full, light pink lips. A tilt of her head given as she remained by the door, cautiously observing the female to see if she was going to attack her, or call the cops for trespassing. Last she went by this place, it was abandoned, but apparently not anymore.

The female appeared to be in her late teens, anywhere from 16 to 18. Though to be honest, her accurate age wasn't possible to many peoples. At least to people who only assumed humans inhabited this plane. Pale, ivory shaded skin glowed softly from beneath the faint light entering in through the cracks in the windows and door. The shade of her iris' bright against the darkness of her thick lashes that gave her an innocence that no longer existed.

Finger tips tugged softly at the hem of her top that barely touched along her belly button with an inverted V. Three buttons held the waistcoat tight around her figure, a deep V at the chest to reveal more cleavage then desired for this season. But it wasn't her fault she got caught out in the bloody blizzard. Over the waistcoat, and shielding most of her arms and shoulders from view where she was tagged with tattoo's of various designs, was a long trench coat of a thick and soft but durable fabric. The hood, sleeves and coat tail decorated with a thick edge of snow white fur.

Rested low upon her hips was dark wash skinny jeans that tucked into furred boots with a two inch platform. The black boots laced up with gray threading up to beneath her knees where white fur pressed into her jeans. A hand drifted up to brush the thick fringe of blond hair out of her face as she took a tentative step forward. The light from the window reflected from half of her face with the movement that took her out of the shadows. A small tattoo was dark beneath the corner of her eye in the shape of a tear. A silver ring curled over the plump skin of her lower lip in the corner while her eyebrow held a barbell with two spiked ends and her nose had a small stud.

The light also gave way to the shine of a white gold chain around her throat. A solid onyx diamond key dangling from the chain to rest at the beginning of her cleavage. "Problem?" She inquired lightly. The tone of her voice soft, yet with a hidden edge that gave way to the fact that she wasn't afraid to retaliate if attacked. A subtle hint of a southern, or even British, accent interlacing with her speech.

As flurries of crystaline snow whipped through the air, it was just barely visible beyond a window that a figure was standing in the midst of winter-dead trees. A white-hooded figure stood tall against the darkness, seemingly busied with something. A small shift of his form allowed the flowing garment to reveal a pile of snow, shaped into that of three orbs. Two twisted sticks arched from the middle section, only further proving that the structure was indeed a snowman.

As for the creator, He would dust off his now-chilled hands, turning to notice the notions within the confines of the structure. Happy silver hues blinked, showing the intrigue of their owner. He stepped forth, pulling the hood down farther as he approached the door. Now, where he was from, it was common for anyone to walk into a place, private or not. As he would enter, he lightly closed the door shut behind him, while simultaniously removing the furred hood from his head. Revealed now were locks the same shade of white as the falling snow, eyes as silver as liquid platinum, and a bright, friendly smile.

As he was in proximity, it was now to be seen that imprinted upon the royal coat was a large black five-point crown, with a white skull centered in its space. This logo was well known in some regions, perhaps not so much around here. Under the coat lay midnight-black clothes, that were obviously too large for the owner. This consisted of an outer coat, seemingly from a different era, single-seamed pants, and a set of round-front shoes. These looked the most modern of any of his garb.

Under all of this was the figure of a boy, seemingly about nineteen years of age. It was obvious he was of good intention, regardless of the appearance of the room's inhabitants. He took one step forward, and gave that of a slight wave. "Hello! My name is Hex. Does this place belong to one of you?"

Naomi yawned lightly, stretching her thin arms above her head while popping her back in a few places. Sleeping in these trees was starting to bug her, especially with the weather getting colder. The cold weather, however, wasn’t necessarily the problem, for she had dealt with much colder temperatures. No it was more along the lines that the trees became weaker during the winter seasons. They seemed to freeze up on the inside and the branches just weren’t strong enough to hold her weight. Needless to say though she did not weigh that much. She was very thin, which helped in her line of work.
‘Heh, work,’ she thought with an annoyed expression. She hadn’t seen any sign of work for many months now and her money was running low. She knew that if she didn’t find anything soon she would be forced to find something low leveled or else she would starve to death. She was well trained to catch her own game in the woods, but she had found the thought of killing animals degrading to her. She was too proud to kill something as weak and defenseless as a bear or a small rabbit. She preferred that sort of killing to be left up to the other low leveled people.
Naomi stood up on the thick branch of an oak tree and looked out among the plane before her. It was quiet but not too quiet, just the way she liked it. Taking in the sight quickly Naomi decided to head west for any possible signs of life with maybe some cheap shelter and food as well as hopefully being able to check in for another job.
Jumping from the high branch, Naomi’s thick black hair flew behind her and as she landed softly on the ground her hair, too, seemed to land neatly forming her face. Her dark purple, almost black eyes narrowed at the road ahead of her. She huffed and began to straighten her clothes from her long night. Pulling on the cloth wrapped neatly around her hands and wrist, tightening her cloth boots and straightening her short dress with a black sash wrapped around her waist. She then looked around and was glad to find her bag and katana had safely made it down with her. Picking up her katana first, she flung it over her shoulder making sure the handle was in reach before digging in the oversized bag only to withdraw the large cloak that took up the most room. Throwing that over herself, her bag became lighter. She quickly tied the bag onto her sash and, with a deep breath, took off at a fast pace towards the west.
***
After running for what seemed like minutes to her, but was more along the lines of an hour, Naomi came to a stop behind a tree as she eyed what seemed to be an abandoned building.
‘It’s a perfect place for shelter. Doesn’t look like much else is around so it should be quiet,’ she thought as she scanned the area around her now.
Nodding to herself, Naomi headed for the building. At the front door Naomi had half a mind to knock, but thought against it and instead simply opened the door and stepped in, shaking what snow hadn’t melted already from her cloak.
She was just about to remove her cloak when she froze and looked up slightly shocked to find not one but three other beings in the building with her; a man and two women. Her dark eyes narrowed at them as she gave no signs of moving and instead simply nodded at them.

The sound of the door sliding open had her turning to glance over her shoulder to the male that entered. She blinked a few times, her gaze drifting from head to toe before settling on his features. Her thoughts snapped to the forefront as she drifted deep into them, conversing with her subconscious which had a problem with distracting her.

A shake of her head was given when the male spoke. "Not mine." Was all she responded with as her gaze drifted back to the female in front of her for only a second before a second person entered the tavern. Another female by the looks of it, and armed.

Amelia tensed, the shift in her posture noticeable even in the dark. Before anyone could blink, she flitted over to press herself into the wall between two corners in front of a window for easy departure, her motion having been barely noticeable unless one could see quick movements easily. She was not willing to be cornered between three people, which is what originally went down seconds prior.

Hex, with a rather nonchalant shrug, plopped down into a rather dusty chair. It seemed, however, that not a single spec would cling to his garment, which in itself almost seemed to glow. Perhaps it was simply the fact that it was so white, including the tuffed fur that lined it. He smiled at the group, before spouting, "Well hey, it seems we've got a real good group going here. I haven't seen this many people together in weeks!"

This would hint at the fact that he had been traveling, even though his clothes showed not even the slightest sign of wear. His expression would remain very friendly, and rather charming in a boy-ish way. Yet, when he sat, a gleam as bright as his eyes shone from the depths of his garments. It seems he was rather prepared for anything..

Naomi turned to Hex as he spoke. She gave a grunt before reaching up and pulling her long hair into a messy bun. Up and out of her face, Naomi appeared to be in her early twenties, no younger than seventeen at the most.
Turning to the side a bit Naomi spoke in a soft voice, calm and cool and barely above a whisper, “I’m not really here for any group gathering. I had expected this building to be empty. Finding you all here is more of a disappointment than anything.” She frowned glancing at everyone.
Naomi reached up to straighten her cloak a bit as she leaned against the wall listening as the wind picked up outside.
‘This isn’t good. It sounds as if the storm is getting worse outside. If it keeps it up like this I might not be able to make it anywhere else,’ she thought with a bit of disappointment.
Naomi wasn’t really a sassy, bitchy kind of woman. She actually used to be very friendly with a great personality. But her work and training had led her to live a very lonely life and because of this she’s honestly forgot most of herself.

Amelia kept quiet. Her profession normally kept her within tight confines with other people, but that was usually settled the minute her job was completely. Everyone running in terror, not knowing which person, who attended or was in the area, threw the knife. So the discomfort of close proximity only lasted a couple minutes.

A shudder raced through her figure as her hand drifted up to settle at the key charm dangling from her necklace. Heat radiated from the pendant that was quickly negated with the chill of her palm. Sea green orbs focused briefly on Naomi before her gaze drifted toward the window.

At the sight of the snow thundering down upon them from the skies, a crease formed at her brow while lips pursed into a frown. She shifted her posture to press her shoulders back into the wall behind her. One leg bending at the knee for the sole of a boot to press into the strength of the wall. Arms lifting to cross across her chest loosely, gaze remaining focused on the scenery outside.

Hex glanced back and forth between the females, his expression shifting to an uneasy smile. He felt rather awkward, now that all the females seemed to be acting very distant. He had made a very warm appearance, after all. He shifted slightly, covering the shining hilt for fear of giving off any hostility. "So um, I guess we're snowed in for the night, huh? I haven't gotten your names at all, by the way..."

Once more he shifted his eyes between the girls, hoping that at least one of them would friendly-up a bit.

Naomi’s eyes drifted back towards Hex then out the window behind him. He was right, they were snowed in. Even with her skills in the weather she wouldn’t be able to make it in a storm like this. Frowning slightly Naomi reached up and pulled off her cloak feeling a bit warm, folded it and laid it on the floor before sitting on top of it herself.
She crossed her legs and whispered, “The name’s Naomi.” She paused a second before asking, “And you are?” She leaned against the wall her katana pressed against her back as she kept her eyes on everyone.

"Amelia." Her gaze drifted to settle on Hex, a tentative smile across her lips. It wasn't that she was nervous or anything, it's just.. this was a new situation for her. She was hardly in a group to be social, just to do her job and get the fuck out of there before she was killed.

"So it seems.." She murmured in response to the comment about being snowed in. Another frown tugging at her lips in place of the small smile. She shifted, slipping out of her furred coat as she strode forward to toss it over the back of a chair. When she turned to stride back to where she originally stood, multiple tattoo's were stark against her pale skin. A couple silver slashes along her skin noticeable too.

He blinked, smile returning to his face. "Well alrighty then! So, what do you girls say we get this place up and running, hmm? I'm thinking lights, fire, and drinks! That is, if there's any supplies here." He stood, clapping his hands together. He would let the white garment remain on his form, as well. "My name is Hexian. However, no one calls me that. You may call me Hex, if you like." He indeed neglected to mention his Royal status, which he kept forgetting he had.

His smile only grew as he looked around, attempting to find a power source of some kind. "So hey, where are you guys from? I don't think I've ever been to this part of the realm before. Seems pretty old and secluded, though, so I'm guessing you aren't from around either." All this he said while fumbling around in the dark, clearly visable due to his clothing.

Naomi stood up slowly smiling at Hex’s eagerness to bring everyone together instead of letting them all sit there as gloomy as the weather. “A drink would be nice actually,” she whispered as she slowly made her way over to where Hex was.
“And no,” she whispered, “I’m actually not from around here. I travel a lot and don’t make a habit of staying in one place. I’m not even really sure where we are exactly.” She stopped for a second a bit shocked at the mouthful she had just spewed. She shook her head slowly, ignoring the feeling within herself of wanting to sit back down on the floor and fall silent. She was going to be stuck here with everyone for maybe a good while and didn’t want to seem like the party pooper. So instead she gathered up her courage and asked, “If there’s anything I can help with, feel free to tell me.”

Her gaze drifted to the window briefly, a furrow at her brow. "Despite the storm, I can get firewood from outside.." She chewed lightly at her lower lip. "I'm not from here either, though I have traveled here before. I.. " She trailed off in what she said and shook her head, striding toward the door.

"I'll return shortly." With a twist of the bent doorknob, and a rough pull on the door, she slipped outside. The door slamming shut loudly behind her. Snow whipped into her figure, stinging against the bare flesh that had slowly started to warm within the tavern. Dirty blond tresses twisted around her rapidly as she took a step forward against the strong wind, flitting away from the door toward the forest line.

Quick motions had her snapping the driest branches off the trees. The sound of wood being chucked forward for the tavern to thud against the steps seemed to pair up with the shriek of the wind. After roughly five minutes of being within the cold, she flitted back to the door and with a rough shove, kicked it open. The broken and surprisingly completely dry wood being shoved in. Once she was inside, she shoved the door shut roughly. Grumbling about blasted snow. Her figure trembled from the chill that had overtaken her usually cold body, fair worse than she was use to. Pale pink lips tinted a light lavender.

She knelt down, grabbing up a couple branches and strode toward the fireplace, tossing them down into a neat pile. Dipping her fingers down into the front pocket of her jeans, she removed a sheet of paper that had archaic figures scribbled on the surface, along with a zippo lighter. Crinkling her nose at the paper, she flicked her thumb against the wheel of the lighter. Lighter fluid being expelled while the heat of the igniter caught the fluid on fire. The blue flame roaring up against the corner of the paper to catch it.

When half of the paper was being devoured by the angry blue and orange fire, she knelt to tuck it into the branches. She straightened to quickly move to her coat, removing a tattered book from within. Returning to the fireplace, she ripped a couple pages that were blank out, and tucked them in close to the already burning paper to give it more fuel until the branches caught. "There.." She murmured lightly, holding her hands out to the slowly starting fire.

Hex watched all of this in calculating flatness. He had let his happy expression slip only for a moment, before giving a short nod to Amelia. "Thanks, but you didn't have to do that." He flashed a smile in her direction, before returning to his search for lighting. Soft fingertips prodded at hard surfaces, the light from the fire only deepening the shadows through which he searched.

After what seemed like an eternity, his fingers finally connected with a wire....a severed wire, that is. A small sigh escaped him, as he stepped in front of the wire. A quick flash of blue, along with an electric crackle, emitted from the space in front of him, which he had been hiding from them. As the light dimmed, the electric-fed lanterns lit up, the flames short and mechanical. It seemed these lights were much like those of similar areas, where the current ran through reserves of kerosene and created electric-fuel lamps.

He turned back to the girls, hands on his hips and grin splayed across his young face. "There! Now, how about those drinks?" He would stride quickly across the dance floor to the bar, white garment flowing with an unnatural grace. A sweep of his form brought him behind the bar, where he started removing bottles, labeled and not, from behind. "What'll it be?"

Naomi felt the warmth from the fire as soon as it was ignited. Smiling and welcoming the warmth, Naomi turned just in time to catch a flash of something in Hex’s direction, but before she could be exactly sure the lights in the bar turned on causing her to shield her eyes in surprise. She shook her head slowly and lowered her arm watching as Hex now moved over to the bar. She placed both her hands on her hips and tapped her fingers against her slender form watching his movements. Something had happened before the lights came on she was sure.
‘It is not your place,’ she thought to herself as she walked over to the bar. ‘He and everyone else here are nothing of your concern.’
“I’m afraid I don’t have any money to pay for any drinks,” she whispered looking away. She felt her cheeks flare slightly with slight embarrassment but mostly with anger for not having been more careful with her precious money.

Hearing noises at the door the woman turned her head around to peek from behind her and as the door was opened there stood a young female perhaps less aged as her, Shadnire turned her body around completely to face the female that was a few feet away from her. A questionable expression was settled on her facial features as she had studied the lady for a moment and was almost dazed, for that she almost had forgotten that this girl had asked a question. She shook her head lightly in response, she was about to say something but then she heard a sudden interruption at the door a second time, now there was another being in the presents of Shadnire, to have two people walk in this what seemed to be a deserted tavern was odd.

'Ah, a male this time' she thought to herself, 'but who are these people and how did they find this place so easily? Were they following me or just out of chance found this place in the middle of no where just like I had? However, this place did have a sense of familiarity some how.'

Shadnire opened her mouth to respond to the male's question but she was interrupted again as the door opened a third time, 'What is going on here?' Shadnire peered up from the woman and male that had came in previously and she set her sights on the door once again and found another woman standing in the door way. After a few moments she noticed that the other three must had forgotten that she was there and so Shadnire stepped away from the middle of the room to the other end opposite of the others just to study them for now. Her dark blue hues scanned the area watching carefully of each action these new comers made towards one another, seeing that they had made themselves quite comfy yet alert at the same time.

'Oh how this is a bit entertaining..' she thought and looked around to make sure there was a seat behind her and there was, so she slowly sat her bottom on the chair then crossed her legs one over the other. Now noticing they were trying to get to know one another she was still in her presents acknowledging each of the other three while they didn't pay any mind to her, but for now that was the best way to go for her at this moment. Her eyes became a bit tired and heard a few things about names and seeing that all four of them would have to stay there together because of the snow storm outside, she shook her head in disappointment and rose her head. Shadnire saw a fire was being started after the first girl she had encountered left to get fire wood and not too long after there was a flame in the fireplace starting up to heat the area, ah, those dancing figures of orange and white warmed her up enough and her eyes started to lighten up a bit as well. She rested herself among the others now and opened her subtle lips to finally get a word out, besides, there were three interruptions before she had a chance to say anything or to even answer the questions that were being set on the table so to speak.

"Shadnire is my name.." she finally managed to say, "I just found this place just like the rest of you had.. but it seems familiar" she would gaze her light eyes to each of the three people that were set before her then over towards the male that was at the bar named Hexian, "And no thanks I don't drink." With that, Shadnire leaned back and stood the chair she was sitting on to the two back legs and leaned her back against the wall as she was in a way pinned there but it was comfortable. She rose her feet a bit and settled her feet down on a small stool as if it was a foot rest and had the two front legs of the chair lay back down roughly with a loud thud. A sigh escaped her lips and she reverted her eyes to the second woman which was named Naomi, then back to the fireplace and glanced at Amelia then to the fire so she could watch teh little flame dancers that her mind had imagined. She swayed her head side to side to a beat and ignored the question about where she was from, she didn't know anyways, so it was of no importance.

He smiled brightly at Shadnire, before turning back to Naomi. "Well, seeing as how this isn't really belonging to anyone, let's call the first round free, shall we?" With a rather adept skill, he began to sort and file the bottles on the shelf behind the bar, each bottle being lit up by the faint glow of the shelves on which they rested. Having accomplished this, he set about displaying the different glasses in an ornate set of fashions, taking no longer than the norm to do so.

Upon finishing, he would pour himself a glass of the purest water one had ever seen from his own supply, hidden within the confines of his garments. He raised his glass to the women, before taking a small sip. "Now, there has to be something I can get for you all?" He felt his arms cross, supporting him as he leaned against the bar top. "I mean, there seems to be a rather....varied assortment of drinks here. Including Bloodwine, which I haven't seen in ages."

His form would turn to study the assortment of liquids, silvery orbs flowing over each individual bottle with distinct recognition. Almost at once, his eyes locked on a single bottle on the end, causing his brow to furrow. "Now, this one I don't quite recognize..." He paced over to it, removed it from its snug home, and studied the unmarked container. It seemed to be made of a deep purple crystaline material, and was ice-cold to the touch. "Any of you ever seen this before?"

Naomi nodded her head once at Shadnire allowing her to see that she had been acknowledged. Not out of rudeness, but more out of the shyness she had gathered over the years, Naomi did not say much more to the woman. Instead she turned back to Hex as he held up a bottle. She glanced at it curiously as her fingers continued to tap at her sash, making soft rhythmic noises.
“I’m afraid I’ve never seen anything like that before.” Her held tilted to the side a bit as she continued to study the bottle. It looked wonderful and somehow slightly hypnotic.
“Amelia?” she asked short word without removing her eyes from the bottle. Without honestly waiting for a reply she leaned a little closer and placed her hands on the bar. “Why not open it and let us have a taste?” she asked simply and daring.

The door to the tavern opened and a tall slender figure moved into the soft light. She slid her hood from her face her skin glowing a soft bronze and sparkling from the snowflakes that had melted against the heat of her skin. She shook her head the soft waves of scarlet hair falling over her shoulders and down her back to her waist as she surveyed everyone. Releasing the clasp of her cloak she lays it over the back of a chair and takes a seat in a quiet corner the tight leather of her pants hugging her well shaped legs and the rise and fall of her chest making a soft brushing sound against the cloth of her bodice.
